Who does Ricky really owe?

by Dolphins

I’ve decided who I think Ricky Williams really owes. Head on over to RealFootball365.com to find out. Here’s n excerpt

“It seems that Williams, however, has also finally realized this. He is now legitimately seeking help for his disorder, when in the past he just self-medicated by using marijuana. I think we all have to realize that the way we — fans, media, the Dolphins, the NFL, etc… — have treated Ricky is wrong. We shouldn’t belittle and turn our backs on those who have problems, especially someone as genuinely nice as Williams. We aren’t making things any easier for Williams, which is insanely hypocritical considering how much the average football aficionado demands that he just stops smoking weed and returns to the field. I’m sure even Williams himself wishes things could be that easy.

I understand that life is just difficult and that we shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells for anybody. I get that, I really do. I also understand that it is wrong of us to consistently bash and harass Williams, pushing his disorder to its limits. I’m just as guilty of this as the next guy, but it really needs to stop. After recently learning just how serious Williams’ condition is, I’ve come to said realization…”

Well written article though. I guess opinions are a little more invested if you are a fan of a team and player. Still either way, its time to for Ricky to just go away....for good.

I cry BS. I have zero sympathy for him. ZERO. The guy has a problem, definately, but I'm not in the business of saying..."oh, poor ricky". He is what he is....a drug addict. The funnier part of this all is this. IF Pot was legal in this country, that article would have no bearing whatsoever on Ricky Williams. He is addicted to an illegal drug....cry me a river....if it were legal, no one would care.

Ricky does not deserve pity, or anything else. Ricky only owes himself, not the fans, not the team, not anyone...i agree with that 100 percent, but that doesnt mean i owe him anything either...and that includes my pity.
