Here are a few rumors that I am hearing on the “grapevine” this Sunday evening. The Miami Dolphins have not publicly commented on any of them.
Brian Soi: Updating previous rumors that I blogged here, Soi has yet to sign with Miami officially. I reported that a signing could take place on Saturday. Soi has yet to sign with any NFL team. I will keep you all updated if there is any changes in that information, and may call out the informant if this rumor is completely unfounded. LOL.
Milford Brown: The former Arizona Cardinal offensive lineman has contacted the Miami Dolphins about joining the team.
Andre Goodman: Head Coach Cam Cameron is saying that the CB will not be ready for the start of training camp and speculation is that Goodman may not be ready for the season opener on September 9th. Goodman is nursing an injured shoulder.
Chris Chambers: Still may face more charges in addition to DWI, speeding, and reckless driving.
Darwin Walker: Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald is reporting that the Dolphins may have interest in the Buffalo Bills defensive tackle should he become a free agent.
Pete Kendall: Despite rampant rumors that the O-lineman will be granted his release, the NY Jets are not commenting and it appears Kendall is prepared to hold out of camp. Kendall would likely draw interest from the Dolphins and General Manager Randy Mueller who has a history with Kendall while in New Orleans.
Az-Zahir Hakim, David Sutton, and PK Sam: According to Herald writer Barry Jackson, all 3 will be competing for the 5th wide receiver slot. the other 4 spots would likely belong to Chambers, Booker, Hagan, and Ginn. Ginn however could be labeled a return man and the Dolphins would then likely keep 2 of those 3. In my Training Camp Preview: WRs’, I looked at the possibilities of these scenarios. You can view that here.
