It is official. The oft suspended Miami Dolphins RB, Ricky Williams has formally applied for league reinstatement according to the Sun-Sentinel.
Williams who was supposed to be able to apply back in July, failed a drug test while on suspension. However, the NFL does not count a failed test during suspension as another incident. In Rickys’ case, the physicians recommended that Williams be kept on suspension until late September before being able to apply.
If there is one thing that this application will do with 100 percent certainty is cause a wave of debate over the internet forums. With the Phins being an 0-4 team and a mess on both sides of the ball, the fan base will be split down the middle as to what to with the once talented yet very unreliable Williams.
For the record, I hope Miami trades him. Should they cut him instead, yeah, I would be fin with that way too.
