Yet Another DT Signed Today

The Miami Dolphins must have a serious…ummm….nevermind, for defensive lineman.  Today the Dolphins signed yet another DT and 2007 3rd round pick by the Oakland Raiders, Quentin Moses.

Moses was the center of a lot of press when he was rumored to be mistakenly cut by the Oakland Raiders during training camp.  He was immediately claimed off waivers by the Arizona Cardinals, who cut him earlier this month.  Moses was the first player taken in the 3rd round.

Considered a project, the DT will practice on Wednesday with the team.  He was a standout at Georgia.

In addition to Moses, the Sun-Sentinel is reporting that the Phins have worked out former Miami U TE Buck Ortega and former Dolphin safety Lance Schulters.  Schulters could be signed as early as tomorrow according to one rumor.

In other quick hit news, Chase Page underwent the knife today for a Labral tear in his right shoulder.  He was placed on IR last week.

For those wondering why the surgeries for Ronnie Brown and Renaldo Hill are being held off for a week to ten days instead of immediately, well it has nothing to do with the doctors not being available.  Surgery can not occur until significant swelling has been reduced.
