I was wrong earlier…maybe I was right and head coach Cam Cameron pulled up our site and took a read…just kidding. Still, in what has to be the development of the season, John Beck is taking over the reigns of the Miami Dolphins. Beck will start against Philly, and the future of the Dolphins has arrived.
According to the Miami Herald, 2 sources close to the situation have said that earlier, Cameron had private meetings with his QB’s and that Beck has been informed that he has in fact become the starter.
For the first time this season, the Miami Dolphins fans will have an opportunity to see the Beck-Ted Ginn combo that was lauded by GM Randy Mueller and HC Cam Cameron shortly after last Aprils’ draft. Beck, who is known for his accuracy and arm strength, will face a reeling Eagles team who is ranked 22nd in the NFL in passing yardage.
Official announcement from the Miami Dolphins has not yet been declared.
In other news, the fate of oft suspended RB Ricky Williams could be known as early as today. The league is closer to rendering its’ final decision on the RB who failed yet another drug test as early as last April. Williams will likely be granted a roster exemption if he is reinstated and will likely be cut or traded in the off-season.
