Should the Miami Dolphins trade out of the 1st spot, draft another QB, or take a stud like Glenn Dorsey from LSU to anchor our defensive line? That very question was asked this week by our own Davey in his ATW feature. (your answers will be up tomorrow). But what about the teams behind us? Who are they? Where are they? What we know for sure, is that today, and for the foreseeable future, the Miami Dolphins have the number 1 overall pick.
Currently the standings are as follows, however, strength of schedule is not factored in and will not be until seasons end. The team with the weakest SOS gets the higher pick. Teams finishing tied with the same record alternate rounds. For example if two or more teams tie with the same win/loss record, the team who picks first in round 1 will pick 2nd in round two and 1st again in round 3, this will continue until the draft is complete.
- Miami Dolphins: O wins
- St. Louis Rams: 1 win
- New York Jets: 1 win
- New England Patriots (via SF with 2 wins)
- Oakland Raiders: 2 wins
- Minnesota Vikings: 3 wins
- Cincinnati Bengals: 3 wins
- Atlanta Falcons: 3 wins
- 9 teams are tied with 4 wins apiece.
Those are your current Draft standings. As sick it is to see Miami sitting at number 1, it is even more disheartening to see New England sitting at number 4.
