Smell the Irony!!!!!
At 5:45pm Tuesday there was enough irony coming from NFL news that it could be smelled in South Florida!!! Yes, Dolfans, Bobby Petrino resigned as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Imagine that???? A former college coach comes to the big leagues, tries it out until things don’t go his way and then suddenly walks away. Even more ironic? The media is all over the rumor that Petrino is set to accept the head coaching job at…ready for this??…Arkansas!! Ahhhh…<sniff, sniff!!!!> smell the irony!!!!!
The only problem I’m having with this is who to root against next season when Nick Satan meets the snake that just slithered out of Georgia. (My guess is Arkansas!) Alabama versus Arkansas just became a matchup of quitters. Now, just who is hated more - Saban in Miami or Petrino in Atlanta?
Only one problem - will somebody please call Petrino and tell him that the odds that Darren McFadden returns next season aren’t so good????
