No, we here have not forgotten to update this site, it is just very slow news. No new coaching hires or interviews that are set in stone and earth shattering for the Miami Dolphins these days, not a thing. It is all quiet on the south eastern front. But at least one Miami Dolphins player is positioned to join some rather “elite company“. Jason Taylor.
Last year Jason Taylor was awarded the leagues top defensive honor…”Defensive Player of the Year“. This year his play on the field suffered, as did much of the Miami defense. However, his play off the field has opened the eyes of the league and now JT stands as 1 of 4 finalists for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. Only two former Miami Dolphins have won the award. Dan Marino and Dwight Stephenson. Elite company indeed.
Jason is also a finalist for the Home Depot Neighborhood NFL MVP.
The winners for both awards will be announced prior to kick-off of the February 3rd Super Bowl.
