To Had And To Hadnot…Phins Say Not

Rex Hadnot - Nflagentjr.comRex Hadnot had his first semi productive season last year and his reward is likely to be a free agent market that is seeing quite a few names on it.  The Miami Dolphins according to the website, KFFL.com are not likely to try and resign the lineman and let him enter free agency on the 29th.

According to Brian Overstreet, Hadnot’s agent, the Phins have yet to contact them regarding his client and they are prepared to go elswhere.  Hadnot is a little on the small side for the tastes of Parcells and Sparano.

That's pretty much what I meant.  I doubt his agent is going to ask for anything close to what Adams is probably going to command, but it'll still probably be close to mid-level starter money, say around $7-8 million.

I wouldn't be so sure De, rumors I've heard are that he's looking for big money. I don't know what makes his agent think he's earned it but if someone out there is ready to pay for him then I see him going. Also read somewhere today is that his agent hasn't heard from anyone within the Phins and he's reading that as meaning that they're probably not going to get in touch now.

Not really that much of a surprise. He's probably going to be asking for close to below-average to average starter money, whereas Miami has cleared enough cap money to afford an above-average starter. In all likelihood, he'll find someone willing to meet such a price who can't afford anything better at starter.

"his first semi productive season" coupled with the money he was rumored to be asking for is probably why he won't be suiting up as a Phin again.
