According to several news sources, the NY Giants and the Atlanta Falcons are in trade discussions for CB DeAngelo Hall. According to two inside “sources” the Giants would send their 1st round pick, number 31 to the Falcons in exchange for the disgrunted corner.
Speculation began running around the internet yesterday with the rumor that Atlanta wants to trade up with Miami Dolphins for the number 1 overall pick. Fans began hoping that Hall could be a part of any deal. The Falcons have maintained that they could get a 1st round pick for him instead.
Although the rumors of a Miami – Atlanta trade have not died and probabaly will not die until after the 1st pick in the draft is made, the new chatter will center around whether or not the Falcons would include that first to move up two spots. A scenario that is probabaly not likely.
The best the Dolphins can seriously hope for is a swap of 1sts with Atlanta, an additional 2nd rounder and a pick next year.
The Falcons will find out this morning where they will officially be slotted at in the draft as the coin toss with the Raiders is expected to take place this morning.
