Ugh, don’t remind me. I remember one of the worst kept secrets a few years back was that Wanny was going to go after an OT in the draft, so the Iggles moved up ahead of him to get Shawn Andrews and the ‘Phins had to settle for getting fleeced to move up a spot to take Carey.And as far as I know, Schefter was simply reporting what he heard (which I have no problem with) without passing judgment as to whether the Falcons were telling the unvarnished truth.

I know. I love the mentality of "real" reporters thinking they are going to get a sound bite. In reality, there is no one but maybe Dave Wannstedt and Rick Spielman who would say yes to that question. LOL

Thanks for the clarification. It’s a confusing time of the year (HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT) when so many rumors are flying around it’s hard to tell fact from fiction. I heard someone commenting on an article (written by, I believe, Adam Schefter[sp?]) that said that Atlanta’s brass had denied any interest in trading up with Miami and therefore, the person was ruling out the possibility of the two teams doing so when any team owner/GM with half a brain is going to deny interest.
