Jason Taylor Told He Will Be Traded

Jason Taylor - USA Today

Jason Taylor is somewhere in Los Angeles working on his moves, by the time the Dancing With The Stars calls it a wrap Jason Taylor will don a different uniform.  He has been informed by the Dolphins that he will be traded prior to the draft.Rumors began circulating on Friday of interest from the Packers and the Vikings for the service of the 11 year Miami Dolphin stallwart defensive end.  Like his brother-in-law Zach Thomas, Jason may get a shot at a ring.  Just not in Miami.

As the season wore on last year, I told many fans to embrace the final games win or lose, that we would we see the end of an era.  Jason Taylor will likely embrace the news as he has been very outspoken of his lack of desire to go through a rebuild. The only thing left is the good-bye and the final destination of the 2007 Walter Payton Man of the Year.  Perhaps it is just that a community and a team that benefited so much from one person, gets the chance to win when it is apparent that he will not do so here.

Like the man he is, we will not hear words of anger, only relief and good-will.  Zach Thomas is no longer a Miami Dolphin, the only other player on this team that has mattered for more than 10 years actively will no longer be either, provided a trade partner is found.

Jason Taylor has a few years left in his tank, and then a Hollywood future.  What he doesn’t have is anymore time in Miami…at least not as a Dolphin.

I hope we can swing two picks for him…A second and a 4th maybe…I love JT, but I mean we are rebuilding… Now, I hope he draft Jake Long…Finish the O-Line and then worry about the DE’s later in the draft

Sad, isn’t it?  Who can’t respect Jason Taylor?  To see him in any uniform other than the aqua and orange is nearly criminal.  Thus, begins the Parcells era.  This is a TOTAL rebuild!

I have been a JT fan since his days at Akron…I was jumping up and down when JJ drafted him.  That being said, I watched him vs Oakland live right behind him on the bench, and he was done.  His drive was gone.  JT is a great player IMO he deserves an opportunity to move forward and try and find a way to win it all.

Now, lets get some good picks for him!

It would be nice to get more than one pick for Jason but Matt I think Chris Long needs to be picked first. Experience is the only thing lacking with C. Long but he will give us the same intensity that Jason has given us. It would almost be as if we did not lose Jason at all.
