One Less Old School QB, Favre Calls It A Career

Miami Dolphins QB Dan Marino had to sit in an CBS studio and watch some of his career records fall.  He took it with grace as his insides twisted in anguish.  That QB was Brett Favre.  Today, it is being reported that Favre has decided to call it a career.  His retirement leaves the league with one less true old school style QB. The NFL has lost one of the classiest and colorful players in the league.  Favre transcended the game he loved.  He played at one speed and one speed only.  A child at heart, a man determined on the field.  Whether he chose to return last year for the records or for the love of the game, Favre came within one game of returning to the Super Bowl.  From a Dolphins fan who hated you for breaking Marino’s records, I wish you the best.  You made football outside of Miami fun to watch.  Great career “Young” man!

That is absolutely the truth X.

it doesnt diminish his accomplishments... especially when you consider the career span of both qb's... pmanning will probably crush both of their records... i hate saying this but it is our legacy: marino was the best quarterback never to win a super bowl...

I wish Dan could've kept some of those records.
