Unfortunately it’s heart surgery. Auburn LB Quentin Groves underwent heart surgery yesterday for a syndrome that causes a rapid heart beat. Wolff-Parkinson-White is a syndrome that allows electrical charges from the hearts atria to fire in a different pathway causing premature ventricle contractions.
Groves sent a letter to all 32 teams alerting them to the procedure. The procedure was not considered serious, Groves probably had the equivalent of a pace maker type catheter installed. The condition is not considered serious and according to Rotoworld.com he is still projected to go in late round 1 or round 2. Some teams will however reconsider.
Groves is/was a possible target of the Miami Dolphins.
