Groves Has Heart

Unfortunately it’s heart surgery.  Auburn LB Quentin Groves underwent heart surgery yesterday for a syndrome that causes a rapid heart beat.  Wolff-Parkinson-White is a syndrome that allows electrical charges from the hearts atria to fire in a different pathway causing premature ventricle contractions.

Groves sent a letter to all 32 teams alerting them to the procedure.  The procedure was not considered serious, Groves probably had the equivalent of a pace maker type catheter installed.  The condition is not considered serious and according to he is still projected to go in late round 1 or round 2.  Some teams will however reconsider.

Groves is/was a possible target of the Miami Dolphins.

Nothing is even installed. They short-out the extra conductive path and get out. Takes about 15 minutes.  Big danger is bleeding out afterwards, so since he didn’t he’s good to go. Really no cause for concern

I live in SEC country and can say that Groves is a good guy and a heck of a player. Here’s wishing him nothing but the best and a speedy recovery!
