I HATE the early bye week. I have always perfered a mid-season bye week. As far as Jake Long goes, I never like to hear that a good/available player doesn't want to play for the Phins wether he is a free agent or a draft prospect.  However, I do think that it is all a front and just a negotiating ploy. The word gets out Long doesn't want to go to Miami, yet we continue to negotiate with one of the most difficult agents in the biz about his client taking LESS than the #1 guy did the year before. Sounds like an exercise in futility to me. Or a wild goose chase. Sure would kill some time before the draft, you know, if that was something you wanted to do. For whatever reason. I still think the chances of trading the pick are 50/50. And this negotiation is the perfect cover till we get within 48 hours of the draft. What if the whole Jake Long thing is a ruse?
