The Miami Dolphins are all over the news these days. First the Jake Long pick and now there are rumors that Jason Taylor’s departure from south Florida is only a matter of who steps up to take him.
As of this morning, the Eagles and the Jaguars were showing the most interest, but new reports are surfacing that a mystery team has started asking about the player. According to a poster on the Finheaven forum…yes I know, don’t believe anything a forum poster writes without a link…been there…done that, he says that he just saw on Sportsnight in Fla, that the Cowboys are in talks with the Phins about sending the Dolphins their 28th pick in the first round. Could the two have some validity together?
That is unknown, and I can say that after speaking with an insider in Dallas, he told me that he really hasn’t heard anything concrete but that nothing is out of the question, although he did guarantee me that Dallas would not be moving up with Miami in round 1.
Still the question is out there and many speculate that Taylor could be gone as early as Saturday and perhaps sooner. Miami has been rumored to want to get a late first round pick for JT and that they are trying to get back into round 1. Should Miami get that 1st rounder then Bill Parcells has already pulled off a small miracle.
Unfortunately for Jason, the rumors of his departure will not go away with the passing of the draft. Jason could still be and will be rumored to be traded right up until the trade deadline.
