Strengths:
Very good size and bulk…Great strength…Has a good motor and work ethic..Solid mobility and range…Decent athlete with good quickness..Powerful and gets a nice push…Smart with great awareness…Offers some versatility…Excellent bloodlines.

Weaknesses:
Is not very physical…He doesn’t have long arms…Too aggressive at times…Is not real explosive…Didn’t play against top competition…Still pretty raw when it comes to technique and footwork..Older than the average prospect…Limited experience.

Notes:
Son of former Major League Baseball M.V.P. Dale Murphy…Went on an LDS Church Mission to Brazil from 2003-04….Spent one season at Dixie St. before transferring to the Aggies…Started out as a defensive end, played left tackle in 2006 and then moved to left guard in ’07…Developmental type who has some tools to work with.

    I like the Murphy pick (would have preferred Nicks).  I grew up an Atlanta Braves fan and Dale Murphy was my childhood idle.  I’m sure he probably passed on some good genes and top intangibles!!  I can’t wait to see him as a finished product.

    Plus the character and positive attitude he brings…. will be a good complement to Jake Long.  Jake gets to play next to Dale Murphy’s son and Beck gets him to block for him.  That’s pretty cool!!  LOL.

    Brian, did you get to see Lance Leggett play at UM very much?  what do you think?    PS: did I already say that I hope we get Danny Woodhead to replace Booker and to help take some punt and kick return stress off of Ginn so he can focus more at WR.   LOL.
