The Miami Dolphins have to be shopping defensive end Jason Taylor to the Philadelphia Eagles for Lito Sheppard. As we discover how things are working these days, it only makes sense.
Proof of this sought after trade is easy to find if you know where to look. Look no further I95 North to the city of Jacksonville. While the Dolphins keep a silent approach to everything football, the Jaguars and their cronies have a spy in the Miami offices and know exactly what to do to get their guy.
Case in point. Rumor after rumor after rumor of the Jaguars and Dolphins trading for JT ran rampant in the hours before the draft and right up until the 8th overall pick, when apparently the Jaguars held a disdain for what Miami was asking. To show them they traded all the way up from 26 parting with 2 3rd rounders in the process. Guess they showed the Phins. With that 8 pick, they took DE Derrick Harvey. Harvey is not a reach at 8 but when you combine two 3rd rounders….yep.
Miami still must have really pissed off the Jaguars and to show how much they were pissed, they moved up in front of Miami to grab DE Quentin Groves a Miami target in round 2. Needless to say, both Groves and Harvey will compete for the same position in Jacksonville. So when you ask what the hell were they thinking…look no further than Jack Del Rio coming on ESPN and saying that Miami was asking way too much for JT and they were not going to pay it.
So now, the Jaguars suddenly are throwing 2009 draft picks at the Eagles for the services of Lito Sheppard, which only means one thing. The Miami Dolphins have to be talking about a trade using Jason Taylor. It is the only thing that truly makes sense.
