I find it funny that a time when the NFL is mired in Spygate tapes, drugs, assault and battery, and more black eyes than eye black, that the league has done very little to exploit the dancing of Jason Taylor. In fact, I don’t think it has done anything at all. Bringing the NFL into a crisp family element, Taylor is not only proving he can dance, but he is giving the NFL that high profile “good-guy” that the league sorely lacks. And still, they do and say nothing.
In Miami, the brewing fight between Parcells and Taylor continues to fester, but at least MiamiDolphins.com routinely promotes the face of the franchise, a sign of support. Last night, amid trade rumors and pleas, Jason Taylor took the stage showing his true colors, Miami colors, aqua and orange. Decked in a white T-shirt with teal trim and eye black, with side striped pants in the same. His partner, the “OMG IS SHE HOT” Edyta Sliwinska, wore next to nothing in the form of a teal short and top ensemble.
While watching last night I realized that in a typical male fashion I felt guilty with my wife next to me, imagining that JT’s wife has a lot more understanding than my wife would.
While JT faces and uncertain future with the Dolphins, his future on the hit show seems to carrying him strong. Receiving a 29 overall score for his first dance, JT followed it with the football themed Paso’ Doble’ with a 26. The Monday Night Football theme also made it clear that for now, JT is still a football player, and watch the show or not, agree with him being there or not, JT is bringing something good to a franchise that needs all it can get. It is what you expect from the current Walter Payton Man of the Year.
Here is his second dance last night in his Miami colors.
