Two More Years Says Williams
The Miami Dolphins will get two years out of Ricky Williams and then he is going to run away from the NFL. So he says. If your a betting man, take it. If there is one thing that Ricky Williams is good for, it’s leaving town.
Bill Parcells could have cut the oft suspended RB earlier this off-season but instead, much to the surprise of Williams, he kept him on the team. Ricky is supposedly looking good and ready for a full off-season of football training, training camp, and pre-season games in almost 2 years.
Pardon me however if I don’t jump up and down along with some of the other fans. Ricky has let Dolphins fans and teammates down before, and before that, and before that. So Ricky is ready to play two years? He has 2 years remaining on his contract so while I reserve hope that maybe he can make our offense better, I also reserve the right to question whether we get Ricky Williams the All-Pro RB or Ricky Williams the I owe money to Wayne RB.
Whichever Ricky we get, I hope this team, his fans, and more importantly his family, get the “I’m not going to fail another test” Ricky Williams. If he does, two years will be a lot sooner than that for the rest of us. See, you can’t release a suspended player, so we would get to do this all over again. No thanks, Ricky just stay clean for 24 months and then walk away or do it now, before other start to rely upon you again.

May 16th, 2008 at 10:36 amHey, Ricky may just surprise you “in a good way”. I read today, that he was invited on the boat party with Cedric Benson but declined. He stated that maybe if he had gone he could have helped. WELL?
He says he has a “calming force” around people. Guess that’s due to Yoga. Yesh, yeah, yeah. I know what you’re thinking. “Calming = Weed.
