Another One Bites The Dust
A day after the Dallas Cowboys signed former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Corey Lekkerkerker, the Dolphins added another old regime player to the unemployment line cutting Drew Mormino.
Mormino was a veteran who really was not much of a veteran. Relegated to the IR in his rookie season, Mormino slipped getting out of a team hot tub breaking his ankle. Now, he has plenty of time to fully heal.
In a team makeover that rivals anything by the Bravo or A&E Networks, the Phins have dumped over 24 players this off-season. Mormino only continues the restructure. Next on the list? David Martin, Justin Pelle, and maybe Matt Roth.
Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust” must be a popular song at Phins HQ these days.
It should be noted that Mormino was released after failing his physical and not summarily cut by the team.

I anticipate the David Martin release as well. However, I would like to see us keep Justin Pelle. I think he was the best TE on the team last year and has proven himself to be a reliable #2 TE. I think we will see some safeties released down the road as well since we have about 6 or 7 on the roster last time I checked.
