What No Ricky Williams? Weekly Thoughts

Ricky Williams - StartingFiveTheLandryHat, or “sister” site…chuckle…has a unique look at the NFL’s top players.  He is putting his opinion on the top 5 at each position and in the process picking on the Kansas Chiefs fans.  Then banter is quite good over there.  While the Chiefs fans bicker that Larry Johnson is not on the top 5 but Marion Barber is, I have to ask…What?  No Ricky Williams?

Seriously though would Ricky be in the top 5 of our own division?  Would you rank him higher than Ronnie Brown?

Two weeks ago I chose the Miami Dolphins Channing Crowder as the weekly topic, this week I ask you your opinion on Ricky Williams.  What will his impact be?  Will he stay clean, get injured, take over the number 1 RB slot?

What are your thoughts?

IF Ricky can stay clean he can become the come back player of the year. Will he? Well now that is the 64 million dollar question isn’t it. I truly hope he makes it but much more importantly I hope he is able to overcome his demons. Because hes a truly nice guy.

I tend to agree somewhat. With Ronnie able to carry the bulk of the load Ricky should be able to stay fresh and that can be dangerous. As you pointed out though, the real question is can he stay clean?

Will Ronnie be up to carrying the load at the start of the year? Coming off the knee injury, it seems for most players it takes a full year to return to anything close to a 100%. We really need Ricky to be ready at the start of the year to keep Ronnie healthy, not just for this year but for future years. Ricky has to know that this is his last chance, Parcells will not put up with another failed test. Hopefully he can stay clean and give us a pair of 1000 yard rushers.

ricky williams has always been a favorite running back to me. if he stops the drugs and gets back on track he has potential to be how he was in the beggening running people over nd scoring at least 2 times a game. so i say train him and get him back on track and maybe get a superbowl victory.
