The Miami Dolphins confirmed today that starting LB Joey Porter and CB Michael Lehan were both placed on the “physically unable to perform” list, PUP for short. Porter suffered an ankle injury last week and was unable to run full speed, Lehan suffered a severe ankle sprain in June and has not recovered sufficiently.
In Porter’s case, the news is not all that bad as he likely doesn’t need to practice to be able to play…he missed almost all of last camp. His injury is not considered serious so he should be ready to go in a few weeks.
Lehan’s injury is a little more worrisome as it was a high ankle injury, however, the staff believe that he will be fine by seasons start.
Offensive lineman Dan Gore was released to make room for Chad Henne as the deal with Henne although not complete should be done any time now.
Please return often and remember to scroll the site for more news as training camp will bring a lot of “news posts”.
