Maybe they Miami Dolphins brass are trying to light a fire under the asses of John Beck, Chad Henne, and Josh McCown, or maybe this new Cowboy love thing is starting to sink into these guys as being the only way to ressurect this team. Now, it appears to be going to far.
According to Michael Irvin, on his radio show today, the Dolphins will be entertaining a QB on Friday for a try out. Former Cowboy and drug program attendee Quincy Carter. Carter has not played in the NFL since 2004. Maybe this is a favor to the guy who is trying to get his life back. Maybe this a desperate call for anyone who can throw the ball. What? Drew Bledsoe say no? Don’t have the desire to move on Brett Favre? What is it? Please tell us. Quincy Carter? Really?
Quincy has had his own drug problems as well, from failed dope tests to possession charges. Last October he was in Palm Beach…in rehab. Hmmm, can you imagine the back-field of Carter and Williams? Cheech and Chong.
Sorry, but so far, I have liked what I have seen. If this guy is signed…then I have some serious rethinking to do.
Lets just keep our fingers crossed that Mr. Irvin was tossing a few back prior to his show.

Personally I would rather see drew out there instead of carter. Maybe Parcells and co are just trying everthing they can think possible out. Again if they are going to bring another qb in it should be drew, or trade for chris sims. I heard the bucs only want a 4 or 5th round pick for him at least he is still young
.
Hopefully this is just a rocket up the butt for the current QB class and/or Irvin having a little fun. If there’s any truth to this then I can see a lot of Dolfans jumping off the Parcells bandwagon in a state of shock!
If this is true I really question everything I’ve seen and heard up to this point about Bill and company. We have spend a second round pick on QBs for the last three years to end up with Quincy Carter. Excuse me while I go to the bathroom and bend over the john.
Has anyone actually confirmed that the Dolphins tried him out? Even on the odd chance that they sign him, I don’t see him as anything more than a camp body/motivational tool. I’d say Culpepper probably has a better chance of coming back with the ‘Fins than he does of making the opening day roster.
DEOF: Nothing has been confirmed that he will be in Miami. Michael Irvin said it on his radio show. He is “rumored” to be here tomorrow (Friday). It could also be nothing more than allowing him to show he can still play to get someone else interested in him…a favor. Teams do it sometimes.
