While not quite the “worst” title I have ever come up with, it does come close. Tony Sparano tells fans and media not to read much into the depth chart, he may want to say “don’t read much into anything”. Chad Henne, you know that rookie guy, well, he has spent the last 3 practices working with the first team offense against the 1st team D.
Is that a sign? Probably not, but it does have to be looked at. When you factor in the Miami Dolphins have a question mark in John Beck, who actually has looked a bit better of late and Josh McCown not performing well either, the fact that Henne is getting 1st team reps could be construed as an opportunity to see if he could be the opening day starter.
Yes, I am not a fool. I realize that we have yet to play one game in the pre-season, and that all three QB’s are struggling to some degree or another, but Sparano has rotated his QB’s every practice thus far. So why the change now? Why with Henne?
On the Oline, we say Trey Darilek for 3 practices, then Donald Thomas got a chance…he hasn’t given it back yet despite the 2nd string depth chart listing. Henne’s practice schedule is not indication of who will be the starter come week 1, but across the boards, Henne appears to be the one QB that has improved each practice.
Perhaps, and likely, this 3 in a row deal is nothing more than a sent message or a simple, see what he has ploy, but either way, it all is starting to get a tad bit more intriguing down there in Davie.

I’m not so sure. Sparano I don’t believe will hesitate putting Henne in there if the vets can’t get the job done. While I do agree that this is so early to read anything into, it wouldn’t surprise me. Truth be told, I think Jeff Garcia will be in Miami soon if the Buc’s get Favre.

Kurt Warner said if he doesn’t get the starting QB job in AZ, he is open to a trade. He tried to avoid the question in a nice way. I would have.
Vols: I don’t think we would trade for Warner unless it was a very simple player for player type deal. The Phins need to move sooner rather than later if they want to have a guy in place for week 1. Looks like that person could be Pennington.
