Permanent Reminder

Oh, those poor New England Patriots.  First they go undefeated, then they get a book written about perfection, then they have all these T’s and hats printed up and then, well, then they lose in the Super Bowl.  Oh those poor New England Patriots fans…not only did they endure the biggest choke in sports history, they still have to listen to us Dolphins fans talk about 72 and Mercury Morris as well.  Of course will they ever not hear about “Spygate“?

Now, there will be a permanent reminder to the epic failure of their beloved Patriots.  Bob Kraft has a banner idea.  Next to his Super Bowl victory banners at the top of Gillette Stadium will hang the perfect 16-0 regular season banner….which will inevitably remind everyone, that that season was the biggest success that ended in the biggest failure.  16 not 19.  An imperfect tribute to an imperfect team.

While that should be enough to irritate the fans every year for the next 100 years, the players themselves can not simply escape to another NFL season or retirement.  Kraft has commissioned a ring for the team that says “16-0 Perfect Season” on one side and “18-1 AFC Champions” on the other.

In the middle they should put a camera beneath the gem to make it a perfect 3 for 3 remembering last season.
