The Miami Dolphins brass have seen fit to reward Ricky Williams for an off-season worth of trust agreeing to a 1 year extension through 2009. While there is no signing bonus attatched to the deal, his base salary of just over 780,000 is expected to increase significantly.
It is unlikely that anything beyond this year is guaranteed and with no signing bonus the Phins have a safety net should Ricky get into league trouble. So far Ricky has been a model player that Bill Parcells has really enjoyed. The team has not released any formal announcment as of yet. The information came from an undisclosed source VIA ESPN.
