Finally Armstrong Added To The Practice Squad
It’s amazing how many fans have been clamoring for the news that 25 year old rookie WR Anthony Armstrong had made the practice squad. A former Arena League player, Armstrong apparently won over the fans with his hard work, speed, and route running. It even appeared late Saturday that he had done the same with the coaching staff.
The Miami Dolphins kept Armstrong on the final 53 only to cut him a day later in favor of fellow rookie WR Brandon London. Armstrong immediately was on the tips of fans tongues as he went through the NFL waiver wire and cleared early this afternoon. The signing of Armstrong does not guarantee him a future but it does provide the Dolphins with some depth if needed during the season. Armstrong can play special teams as well.
For now, Armstrong joins the Dolphins as a practice squad player leaving Miami with only 1 vacant spot. Whether Armstrong stays on that squad, is replaced for another body, or climbs off and lands on the 53 is not up to no one but himself.
