As for the J-E-S-T-S, it wouldn't surprise me if their free spending ends up blowing up in their faces, as such moves seem to rarely work out for the teams making them.  All one  has to do is look at how the 49ers went from the playoffs to one of the worst teams in the league despite an offseason splurge that was supposed to net them a load of talent.
