Yeah, I don't think we need to talk about a new coach next year!! I'm guessing nfldolphin is being sarcastic. Hope so anyway!!

Has Sparano been perfect? No. But he is still a rookie HC and has been far more impressive than his predecessor.

Now, the reality of the game. Our secondary absolutely got lit up by the Texans. NO ONE played well in the secondary. Bell should have knocked that ball at the end instead of going for the pick. R. Hill was terrible. We need help here, but we all knew that. Our draft and FA this year was to build the trenches which we have done. Next year is time for the fluff. DBs and WRs next year will be the main focus...maybe a LB or two as well.

Special teams is horrible!!! Return game and coverage game is unacceptable. Two big returns given up today killed us. Special teams need to be taken out behind the shed and shot!! And I still cannot for the life of me figure out why Ginn is not returning kicks. I like Bess as a WR but he is brutal on returns. Why was Ginn back there at the end of the game when you need a miracle? Is it because he is the only returner on the team that is a threat to take it to the house? If so, why is he not out there everytime?

BTW Brian, I am in total agreement with you on Ginn. One catch for -1 yards is not OK!!!!! I still hope for the guy, but I am officially off the Ginn wagon until he shows something. At least let the bum return kicks.

On a positive note, our O put up 28 points. The new wrinkle in the wildcat was beutiful and we moved the ball at the end when we needed to. We could be very good on offense with a really threat at WR!! We are doing well now with basically one WR in Camirillo. Fasano was a let down again this week, but Martin is still continuing to play solid football.

Finally, it is really nice to see Joey Porter playing at a high level again. Porter may not have had the stats but he was huge yesterday and had a big impact on several key plays. Too bad no one else on D really showed up!

Oh well, the honeymoon of beating the two AFC Championship game opponants is over.....on to face Baltimore. I say we rebound from this and come out flying next week. If you're looking for the glass is half full scenerio, maybe we needed this at this time as a little bit of a reality check.

oh my gosh nfldolphin don't be so negative! my man its not THAT bad - yeah I'm very disappointed by the DBs and WRs but Rome wasn't built in a day - I see the Phins as more of a 7-9 team - they have weakness as we know but they can cover it up by running the ball really well & keeping time of possession and getting a lot of pressure on the QB - I actually think they were hurt today by some of the big plays - sure they were great but I'd rather have a 12 play drive that eats up 7 min.
