Probable?

Posted by: Brian Miller

The Miami Dolphins made a late addition to their injury report.  No, it wasn’t the inclusion of Matt McChesny on the IR but instead, Chad Pennington with a foot injury.

While nothing is known about the injury…at all…the fact is that Pennington has only been healthy for one full season in his career.  This year, he has been stellar.

The Dolphins offense is having success that can be directly attributed to the play of Pennington.  If he goes down, that onus will fall on the shoulders of a rookie QB who has led one drive in his pro-career.  A touchdown drive late against the Cardinals.

Chad Henne is the number 2 QB and with playoff aspirations and even an AFC East championship in sites, the Dolphins can ill afford to add question marks to an offensive unit that has been remarkably healthy all year, sans the RG position.

While Dolphins fans will hold their breath until they see CP under center on the Phins first series, the thought that maybe, just maybe, Pennington’s injury is something more will leave many fans cringing at the prospect of watching a cinderella season go down the hole.

For now it’s probable, but the thought is anything but.

if a rookie QB is gonna start, playing against a team like the raiders is the best game for that scenario.  i would be more concerned is it was against the jets at the end of the season and the winner would be the division leader!

i wouldn’t be stressed if Henne took the helm against the Raiders. i’ve been waiting to see what he made of.
