Porter Running His Mouth Again

The Miami Dolphins don’t have to look far when they need a voice in the locker-room.  The Patriots didn’t need to look far back in week 3 for failed bulletin board material and if you ask an offensive lineman, an opposing QB, or a RB you will learn that they too don’t need to look too far to hear the voice of one Joey Porter.  Now, with perhaps the biggest game in the last 5 years for the Phins, Joey Porter is running his mouth once again.

The target of this weeks smack talk?  YOU.  Yes, you, the Miami Dolphins fan.  More importantly the Miami Dolphins fan who lives within driving distance of the stadium.  See, this week, the Dolphins need your help.  They need a full stadium that is comprised of Aqua & Orange and not Blue and Silver.

“This should be the first time I’ve seen our stadium sold out, Porter said after Sunday’s 17-15 win against the Raiders. “I’ve been here a year-and-a-half and still haven’t seen the place sold out. This should get us to that level.”

“That 12th man really means something to the defense,” he said. “When it’s real loud out there, they can’t make their audibles.”

The vocal leader of the defense isn’t afraid to point out the one thing that the Dolphins themselves have been unable to control the last few years…filling the seats.  Poor play, poor records, poor coaching, oh the list goes on and on has essentially kept faithful fans at home or at the beach instead of sitting in the metal backed seats in the sunshine yelling until their throats could no longer produce a sound without being tainted by scratches…like a blown speaker in your audio system.

No more.  These Phins are winning, ugly at times and phenomenally at others.  The fans have filtered back to the stadium.  Slowly at first but each passing week more and more seats are being filled.  Tony Sparano says it’s getting louder and louder, Joey Porter obviously wants it to be moreso.  In a season that has been both exciting and gut-wrenching to the end.  Joey Porter has given these fans a reason to cheer, now give him a reason to make you cheer.  This time that smack is toward you.

“This is a note going out to the fans,” he said, facing the TV cameras. “We need you there Sunday. We need everybody to come there and come loud and fill the stadium up.”

These Miami Dolphins need our support.  Frankly, these Miami Dolphins have earned it.  Time for Phin Phans to be the 12th man once again!!! FILL THESE SEATS!!!

couldnt agree more Michelle.  There is no substition for a live game.  Especially now with the advent of the HD jumbo tron, highlights and replays.  No substitution...other than the price and even that isn't as steep as many believe it to be.

I wish everyone would wear one color, i prefer the aqua so that it will be known as the ocean since we are DOLPHINS! I wouldn't want everyone to wear orange b/c i've seen enough empty orange seats to make me sick through the years.

It is SOOO worth it to go to the game! I get bored watching at home. If I can't be in the stadium I want to be at a sports bar cheering with other fans. I like the atmosphere with lots of people around.
If NYC wasn't so damn far, I'd get season tix and go to every home game.
Or if I won the lottery, I'd get a private jet and fly myself down. With a couple stops in Canada and NC to pick up my friends, of course!  :)

Considerably less for me but I don't think I can convince the wife to let me drive 600 plus miles from NC again this year...LOL

Well, the cost to attend a game for me is about $2000.00 which I do once every year!!!!

Come on Dolphin fans, get out there and cheer on our Dolphins as we kick the Pats ass......again this year!!!!

You can get tickets for about 20 bucks.  Parking is 20 but you can park for free at Walmart and walk to the stadium.  Drinks and snacks are not cheap but that all depends on what you want.  being a part of a live game is worth it to me.  No crying kids or nagging wife.  Just me and 60,000 drunks....LOL

so- what is the price of a ticket?- and parking-and snacks ?
vs watching it on tv in your own luxury box. isn't this why tv was invented?
