The Miami Dolphins lost RB Jalen Parmale last night, but not in the way you may think. The 6th round runningback was swiped off the Dolphins practice squad by the Baltimore Ravens. Parmale was taken in the 6th round along with Donald Thomas (IR) and fellow RB Lex Hilliard.
Tony Sparano had said that Parmale had shown good signs of becoming a decent RB but that he needed to work on his blocking techniques and his running style. With the emergence of Patrick Cobbs and his 3 year extension, along with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, special teams was likely the only place that Parmale would have made an impact.
Parmale has been on the PS all season and had his best day as a pro in the 3rd pre-season game when he ran for over 80 yards and a touchdown. The pick-up will allow the Dolphins to add another player sometime this week.
