The Miami Dolphins waste no time. Fired Oline coach Mike Maser has barely had time to clear out his office and the Phins have already apparently reached out to another teams coach and presumably have made an offer. The man in question is NY Giants Oline assistant offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo.
DeGuglielmo has a history with HC Tony Sparano, both working at Boston University in 93. DD was the Oline coach there while Sparano was the OC. DD would join Sparano again as the Oline coach at the University of New Haven when Sparano was the HC. Neither team is reporting the deal is done or that DD has accepted it but according to the Newark-Star Ledger it’s all but done officially.
DeGuglielmo has been serving under Oline coach Pat Flaherty since 2005 with the Giants. The Giants finished the season as the number 1 rushing team in the NFL with both Brandon Jacobs and Derek Ward running for over 1,000 yards.
