Wayne Huizenga Gone...Grade?

Wayne Huizenga has had a rather tumultuos tenure as the Miami Dolphins owner.  Since 1994 Huizenga has found himself criticized for the way the team let Don Shula’s years expire, the way Jimmy Johnson was given the reigns of the team, Dan Marino’s unceremonious exit, and the Nick Saban saga.  What he has never done was put his efforts behind the lack of spending.  From free agent contracts to coaching to Dolphin Stadium renovations, Wayne Huizenga’s wallet was always open.

With ownership in the team finally moving from Wayne to Stephen Ross, the question is, what kind of owner was Wayne Huizenga?  A good owner with bad luck or a bad owner with no luck?  You decide.

Should the lockout factor into the decision to retain Sparano if the team fails in 2011?

Dick's Sporting Goods presents "Hell Week":

I voted for B- B+ closer on the B+ side.  He really had no knowledge of football and went with what his advisors suggested.  Unfortunately, he surrounded himself with bad people.  How ironic is is that he finally lands a guy that is considered to be the best mind in football, and he sells the team.
I can’t ever recall a situation where he ever said “no” when it came to paying for something/someone to improve his football team.  Sad to see you go Mr. H.  My gut feeling is that Parcells will not be too far behind.
