Are you a “reality TV” junkie? I am. I admit it. I love watching Survivor, Hell’s Kitchen, American Idol, heck, I even love watching the Bachelor with the wife. Of all my favorites, Survivor is at the top, but a very close second has to be “The Amazing Race“.
The Amazing Race pits teams of two against each other in a “race around the world“. I find the way people work together and against each other in harsh situations intriguing. Take the best of friends and put them in a country whose language they don’t speak can bring out either the best in them, or in most cases the worst. There was talk that this great show was on the verge of being cancelled only a short year ago. After the writers strike in Hollywood, it got brought back and only won an Emmy award.
This season, the 14th starts in another week on February 15th, on CBS and if your wondering why this has anything to do with the Miami Dolphins or football in general, well, two of the contestants, Cara and Jaime met while auditioning for the Miami Dolphins cheerleading squad. Both are Dolphins fans and both are rather…beautiful.
Jaime was a Phins Cheerleader for 6 years and represented the Miami Dolphins in the 2007 Pro-Bowl in Hawaii. She is the one pictured on the right. Cara also was a Phins Cheerleader as well.
I always seem to like the good natured racers. Those who have fun and work hard. I don’t bow to beauty and shtick and I honestly can’t stand the smoozie mom and son dances, the cutesy couples, or the brooding bad-asses. Just play the game, race the globe, and get rid of the teams who have no business being on these shows.
Now I have no clue where these two women will fall when it comes to breaking down the cast and who does what and for all I know they will be the whining and complaining team. For now though, I take in the fact that 2 women will appear on this show that wanted to be cheerleaders for the Phins. That’s enough for me to make them my early favorites to root for. GO MIAMI…er…Cara and Jaime~!
