The talk of Laveraneus Coles reuniting with pal Chad Pennington for the Miami Dolphins can now be put to rest. Instead of trying to finish his career chasing a Super Bowl, he has decided to end his career chasing futility signing today with the Bengals.
Now, before all you Coles fans start gritting your teeth at the fact that WR is a Phins need and we just let one get away, the Bengals paid a small fortune to the wideout. Coles signed a 4 year 28 million dollar deal that will roughly pay him 7 mill per season. Guaranteed number is not yet available.
Also today, the Arizona Cardinals finally came to an agreement with QB Kurt Warner on a 2 year 23 million dollar deal. It includes a 15 million dollar signing bonus.
The St. Louis Rams also re-signed CB Ron Bartell who was a hot name in Phins land. Apparently not many other teams thought highly enough of him to throw money his way.
LB Ray Lewis appears to be headed back to Baltimore and the team says that an official announcement is due by weeks end. Lewis greatly overvalued his worth on the open market making no FA trips in his short week of freedom.
