Mock Draft: Pick 8 – Jacksonville Jaguars
The Oakland Raiders drafted DT BJ Raji with their first pick at number 7 overall. You can scroll down and view the results of that poll. Today we move to pick 8 belonging to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jags were a dissappointment last year and figured to compete in the division, instead they struggled all year long and never reached their potential. This year the Jags will turn their running game over to Maurice Jones-Drew entirely as they parted ways with long time veteran Fred Taylor.
Needs:
QB: The Jags are pinning their hopes on David Garrard but they still may look at securing a future QB if their faith is waning.
WR: The Jags have not had recent success in finding WR’s in the draft…Matt Jones…or free agency…Jerry Porter.
ILB: The Jags have an issue with ILB Mike Peterson and his future in Jax is in question. The team may address the ILB spot early.
OL: With needs along the Oline being at guard and tackle, the Jags have the opportunity of drafting an OT early in round 1 or waiting until the top of round 2.
