Because of a time conflict next week, I have decided to add a couple of extra picks this week to get through the mock-draft. Earlier today we selected the picks for the San Diego Chargers and LB Rey Maualuga was the run away winner. This afternoon, the NY Jets are on the clock.
With needs at QB, DT, DE, CB, and RB, the Jets could go in a lot of different directions. The real problem for NY is they don’t have a proven signal caller. NY has spent a ton of money over the last two free agent periods on high-profile names. Last years trade for Brett Favre proved fruitless. With Kellen Clemons slated to be the opening day starter, the Jets may need to find a signal caller now or for all their FA spending, they will do no more than finish runner ups in a tough division once again.
While QB is a major need, WR can’t be overlooked either. After the release of veteran Laverenous Coles the team lacks a true number 1 WR and there are plenty of WR’s in the top of this years draft. What will they? You decide.
