Pick 24: Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons come in with the same Cinderella season that Miami had last year. They have no need for QB after Matt Ryan exploded on the scene and like Miami, their playoff bid hardly means they have no holes to fill.
This is the last team to draft before the Miami Dolphins are on the clock. For an early preview of my thoughts on the Phins needs take a look at the contributing Q&A I did with TheScore.com
From Draft.com:
They selected OT Sam Baker who battled injuries but hopefully can still anchor the offensive line. The right side of the line is still weak, though, and can be addressed after the first round. Tight end is a big weakness and one that could help Ryan develop even further. WR Roddy White is a great number one and Harry Douglas proved enough in his rookie season to fill the slot position but they are missing a good number two receiver. Michael Jenkins has had his moments but how many more opportunities does the former Buckeye need to prove he is marginal at best. There is also Laurent Robinson who is young and talented but has battled some injuries and been in the coaches’ dog house, so he has yet to step up and stake claim to the starting spot.John Abraham had another great year as a pass rusher but this may be the draft to take someone as his eventual replacement. The Falcons need to get younger at both safety positions and could use an upgrade at corner.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Robinson got traded but I don’t agree with Jenkins’ being “marginal at best” The guy has good hands and good speed but is best used as a possesion type guy. He was not an effective wideout before Ryan because Vick wasn’t a good passing QB.
