The Amazing Race on CBS finished it’s 14th season last night and the two women team comprising of former Miami Dolphins cheerleaders Jaime and Cara came up a tad bit short Sunday night. The ladies finished a very respectable 2nd place to a brother and sister lawyer team.
In the final leg that ended back on U.S. soil in Hawaii, the three teams hopped off a flight from China and headed to the ocean. The first task, the one that set the girls back only a bit, involved carrying a pig 200 yards down the beach to a luau pit where they had to prep the porker in a traditional Hawaiian manner.
Two of the three teams struggled with the 45+ pound swine. Jaime and Cara were one of those two. After a jet-ski ride off the beach to collect their next “clue” the team headed toward a “Surfboard fence” shop and it was on their way there that the girls lost the race.
Having made up time to get back in the race, the ladies from FLA ended up with the worst possible Taxi driver. Not only did he need to continually stay on the phone to get directions, he took the girls to the wrong location and then needed to get gas. By the time the ladies arrived at their challenge, they were behind.
Cara did a great job lining up the surfboards to represent each stop along their 3 continent trip around the world but the brother and sister team were just a bit faster. The ladies crossed the final “pit stop” with as much energy as they displayed the entire race but becoming the first all female team to win the race was not going to be.
Congrats to the ladies anyways and yes, they can feel free to Email me whenever you want!
