Dolphins Release Todd Lowber

AUTHOR: Txmedic5 | IN: Breaking News | COMMENTS: None Yet |

The man has something that Miami Dolphins great Dan Marino doesn’t.  A Super Bowl ring on his finger.  Yet unlike Dan Marino, WR Todd Lowber has never played one single down in a meaningful NFL game.  Not in regular season, not in the playoffs, and not in the Super Bowl.  Today the Dolphins released the practice squad veteran.

Lowber earned his SB ring while playing for the New York Giants.  Lowber found himself buried on a depth chart that includes two rookies drafted in April along with some practice squad players who seem to contribute more.  The Phins still have a bevy of WR’s on the roster.  Lowber was a long shot to make the team and his release now will allow him to try and catch on elsewhere.

In his NFL career, Lowber has been with the Vikings, Giants, and the Dallas Cowboys in 2008 before being signed by the Phins.
