Vontae' Davis Not Arrested In Illinois
A police report identified Miami Dolphins CB Vontae’ Davis as having been arrested for a noise violation and driving without a liscense back on June 9th. Last night on Finsradio.net I spoke about this incident. Vontae’ Davis…at least the Miami Dolphins Vontae’ Davis, was not arrested.
With a lack of breaking news stories and Phins news in general it’s easy to see why many are jumping on this tid-bit of info. The problem is that Vontae’ Davis was in Miami on June 9th working with the Phins during OTA’s. The Dolphins have said it, Davis has said it, and last night the reporting party retracted that it was Miami’s 1st round pick.
The situation now appears to be either a mistaken identity issue or a stolen identity issue. Either way, unless something absurdly strange comes out of all this…there is nothing to report on it, and nothing to worry about.
