Not to discount it's importance, but RG really is one of the simplest positions from a technical standpoint. If you look at the number of starting RGs across the league, it probably has the highest number of late-round and/or undrafted players. It takes a certain type of player to operate in a 'phone booth' at RG, but that's really all they do. Rarely does the RG even have to pull.

I mostly agree, as should everyone. (If you're reading this as a Phins fan) Our O-line is set with the exception of the RG position, unarguable. But, injury prone players are always a question, even if they look "healthy and strong" in camp, and we all know anything could happen. With the exception of Big Vern and JL, the rest of the starting O-line has had minor nagging injuries that affect the strength of our QB protection and running capability. I do like that we got Grove as our starting C and Smiley is a "mean SOB" of a LT. Who will take RT, one of the most difficult positions to play, and do a good job at it? Thomas, Murphy, Quinn, Alleman ect...??? Staying healthy is key. One solution...run left and roll out left.
