No, I’m not sleeping with my intern and I doubt anyone would try and blackmail me if I did…but I’m still going to steal one of Dave Lettermans’ gigs. Here are the top 10 post titles about Monday Nights victory over the New York Jets.
10: 3 and Orange
The Dolphins are now 3-0 in games they wear the orange uniforms
9: Youth Gone Wild
The Phins youngsters, especially Chad Henne are starting to pay dividends
8: Ginn catches more than just a cold
After the 53 yard TD pass from Chad Henne, the happiest man in the stadium had to be Ted Ginn…if he dropped that he would be looking for a job come morning.
7: “Yeah, it’s a Henne”
Chad Henne threw for 241 yards with 2 touchdowns and no int’s for his 2nd victory in as many starts. His poise in the pocket allowed the Dolphins to convert 9 of 14 3rd down attempts.
6: Even The Refs Couldn’t Hand Jets a win
Two very questionable pass-interference calls led to Jet scores…the last one could have been a game decider.
5: The Jets and Not Edwards dropped the ball
The Jets lost because, well, their defense, their very heralded defense couldn’t stop Ronnie, Ricky, and company. While they dropped the ball the one man on their team who’s history indicates that he drops balls, WR Braylon Edwards did not. Edwards had 64 yards and a score but it still wasn’t enough.
4: Guts Call Puts Miami Up For Good
6 Seconds left in the game, 3 point deficit and the Dolphins decide to run the ball from the 1 yard line. A stop and the game is over…they didn’t get stopped.
3: Come On Shake that Conga
The Dolphins rolled out a hispanic red carpet that honored Miami’s hispanic heritage…Tony Sparano said to Rex Ryan “Say hello to my little friend” and rolled the WC on him all night long.
2: Crowder, Ginn, and Fasano, OH MY!
Ginn scored a touchdown on a pass play, Channing Crowder finally made a couple of big plays, and Anthony Fasano finally crawled out of his off-season slumber.
And the number one post title that I didn’t use was,
“Shut the Eff up Ryan, your defense got schooled”
