You said it, it should not have gone down like that. I'm not a big fan of pulling your players especially in a situation like that, going undefeated is an honor and every player on that team wanted it. The coach is a fool, he ripped off the team and the fans. Sports is entertainment and the fans paid their money to watch that game and expected the Colts to put out their best product.

Pulling your players guarentees nothing. The Colts won't even make it to the Super Bowl, San Diego is on a tear and is sure to knock the out iftey meet. But not going for the undefeated season was wrong in so many ways.

So I expect that none of the starters for the Colts will play in the final game this week, if they do what was the point off pulling them last week. It was a power trip by the coach, he said he would do it and he did, it was a poor decision, that will come back to haunt him.

And by losing, the Colts let the Jests back in the playoff race. Great. Go, Bengals.

I agree that Manning should have been given a fighting chance. No shoulda's or coulda's. Peter King had a reader write in on his SI column about what would the league do if a team tanked a game to get a better postition in the draft? I know teams want to be healthy going into the playoffs but what about the fan that pays good money to see Manning and gets the shoe shine boy? Sorry, I have no idea who the 2nd string QB is for the Colts.

Now about our Dolphins. I was folling the game on radio. That penalty that wiped out Ginns TD killed our season. The Houston fumble that was not a fumble was a fumble. Start working on the tip drill, D. Oh, and show up before the 2nd half against Pittsburgh. Finish 8-8 and lets start thinking about next season. Happy New Year, everyone.
