Ricky to Keep Running Past 2010

According to Ricky Williams plans to keep playing past the 2010 season, Ricky’s current deal with the Miami Dolphins is worth $4.5 Million and ends after the 2010 season.

It’s unclear whether the Dolphins will be planning on bringing back Ricky but after the year he previously had it seems like he will be a great #2 running back. He will be turning 33 in a couple of months but if he has a season somewhat similar to what he did last year (1,385 yards from scrimmage, averaged 4.7 yards per carry and 11 touchdowns) then Miami would be wise to bring him back.

I believe that if he really wants to play that the Dolphins should resign him because it’s hard to believe that Ronnie Brown can stay healthy and Ronnie might even be traded or reach free agency after the 2010 season.

We have to see how the season plays out to see if there are any signs of Ricky returning.
