Brown Arrested for DUI

The Miami Herald has reported that Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown was arrested late Friday night outside of Atlanta on suspicion of DUI.

He was released from jail early Saturday morning. Brown was reportedly arrested by an officer who pulled him over because he made a lane change without using his blinker.

Brown has no previous arrest records and hired an attorney to help him defend his case.

The Miami Dolphins have yet to comment on the situation.

Getting tired of arrested football players… someone help me out, is it complicated to not get arrested? Honestly, do you have to keep your guard up against cops randomly arresting you or is is possible the punishment for acting like unsupervised children not high enough.

Anyway off my high horse, I wonder if this effects his value on the open market. I would love to see Ronnie move on and I would be happy to take a second rounder for him and run with Ricky and use the second on Best or Dwyer, or wait until the third and select McKnight, Blount, or Tate. Either way I would not shed a tear if Ronnie left, I am tired of waiting for a whole season of healthy production.

Also still think we should sign Jevon Walker!!!

While I agree with you Steve, I don’t think Brown is a problem child. This is his first mistake at anything legally related. He has been a model citizen who unfortunately made a really bad mistake in judgement. I will be interested to see what his BA is.

It would be interesting if someone wanted to take Ronnie off our hands. Ricky’s been a warrior, and there are some quality backs in this draft. Still, the odds of that, with Ronnie’s injury, are slim.

Have to say Dan I agree. The only way I see Brown being moved would be during the draft and that makes it less likely. Brown will be with Miami this year and the team will have to decide how to proceed with him as the season nears an end.
