With the recent Signing of Richie Incognito the Dolphins plan to pursue trade options for guard Justin Smiley, a source close to the team tells writer Edgar Thompson. The Dolphins told Smiley to stay away from the teams off season conditioning program while they try to find a trade partner.
It is unclear what price the Dolphins hope to exact for Smiley. League sources at the current NFL annual meetings are speculating the asking price is a third-round pick. (Armando Salguero)
It looks like these "unnamed sources" is a guy over on Finheaven who claims he ran into Bell and Smiley in the Atlanta airport heading to Ft Lauderdale. He said he got into a conversation with both of them Smiley told him that he received a phone call from Bill telling him he would be traded to Seattle in the next few days.
Gotta love when the "writers" wont gives blogs or forums credit...LOL
I can't imagine they will get a 3rd rounder for a guy who hasn't stayed healthy in 3 years. I like Smiley but truth be told, I think he is expendable. The Phins I think will get a 5th rounder...hope I'm wrong.

The trifecta must really feel this draft is deep to give up depth along the O-line. Not sure if we could get a 3rd for Smiley though. We need to focus the draft on Defense we were like swiss cheese last year. A good young safety would help prevent our young corners from getting picked on again. Go Fins.
