Breaking News: NFL Passes New OT Rules

The NFL has passed a ruling that will change the way over time is decided.  In this breaking news from the NFL, the OT rules for the playoffs has been changed to potentially allow both teams to get a crack at the ball in OT.

Simply put, the new rule works like this.  If the team winning the coin flip scores a TD the game is over.  If they score a field goal, the other team gets one possession to score.  If that team kicks a successful field goal the game will continue and the next team to score wins.

The regular season will remain under the current system of OT rules.

Well that’s better than it was, I would still like to see both teams gat a least one chance to run the offense. With the exception that the team playing defense first gets a pick or fumble recovery and runs it back.
